Flush setting facet stones dates back to ancient times and still holds popularity in today’scontemporary jewellery. Flush setting is the technique whereby a facet bet stone is set into a piece of jewellery so that the table of the stone is flush with the surface of the metal.  Flush setting is a great alternative to having raised setting such as a bezel, tubes or prongs, adding a sleek look to your designs.

This workshop will start by having you crafting your jewellery piece of choice either a pair of earrings, a ring, bangles or a pendant to then set faceted stones by carefully drilling, seating and burnishing your stones in place.   This is a fun way to add a bit of sparkle to your piece of jewellery!

This workshop is for people with basic jewellery making skills and those who have attended previous workshops.

Skills taught :: Drilling, seating faceted stones, burnishing, filing, measuring, sanding, polishing.
