Botanicals and nature have always played an inspiration role for jewelers. In this workshop we are going to be transforming nature into jewellery. Learn to create a perfect replica of a real leaf in delicate solid silver to make earrings, pendants and charms. As unique as nature is each piece will be completely unique to you.
Choose a leaf from a selection provided or bring a few along with you. If bringing your own leaves, please bring a variety as some leaves may not be suitable. It is ideal to look for leaves that have veins and detail on the back for example Oak, Beech, Strawberry, Maple etc. Unsuitable leaves are ones with a smooth, waxy or furry surface for example Ivy, Holly, Tomato. All leaves must be alive and not dried.
The best part is that, after the workshop, you can easily replicate this workshop at home to make beautiful gifts.
