Silver Jewellery II (5 weeks - 1 evening per week)
Have you taken Beginner Silver Jewellery I or have a few classes under your belt and looking for the next step to expanding your repertoire?
Silver Jewellery II is your opportunity to continue growing your metalsmithing skills. Take the next step in jewellery fabrication by building on what you’ve previously learned and challenging your designs and creativity.
Over the course of 5 weeks, one evening per week, this term introduces you to crafting hollow forms in metal, exploring surface textures, flush setting gemstones, fabricating intricate chains, and getting creative with your own individual project. The projects include earrings, pendant, bracelet and an individual project.
Skills taught :: soldering, annealing, forming metal, piercing (sawing) metal, etching, flush setting gemstones, texturing, filing, finishing and polishing.
Class is suitable for those who have completed Beginner Silver Jewellery I or have taken a few basic classes. Please get in touch if you are hesitant as to whether this class is right for you.
£170 inclusive of all tools, materials for set projects*, and plenty of hot tea & coffee are included. *materials for your individual project are not included and cost is dependant on your projects requirements.
